Perhaps there’s no real better to play as these characters except for the fact that they’re funny as a pair. One of Mirage’s voice lines has him saying, "I hope I don’t have to play with that smiling robot," before he says he’s just kidding. This is an obvious reference to Pathfinder and seems to imply they're a sort of default frenemy duo. These characters are comic relief, and their pairing seems to be conducive to a buddy comedy a la Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumb

 
But by far the best Killer that would come out of that game would be Pyramid Head. This iconic figure wading through the world with his large sword or spear would be a nightmare to behold.
