However, the online focus and complete lack of a campaign structure kill any drive to keep unlocking cosmetics and bots in single player, and those are the only two options available. Put as simply as possible, _Override 2: Super Mech League _ feels like a demo for a larger experience that doesn't exist. But that isn't to say that other studios couldn't make it work in the same way Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl is aiming to. Many companies have merged or otherwise been bought out in recent years, to the point that it seems increasingly feasible for others to put a spin on the concept of a crossover-based brawling title. Microsoft, which recently bought out Bethesda , likely has ownership of enough properties to put together a similar release if the formula is proven to be successful in the long run. That said, the future of this design direction is hard to predict given that it's yet to be determined if Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be able to live up to the reputation of Nintendo's **Super Smash Bros ** . franch

 
**Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl ** was announced early July 13. A Super Smash Bros. -style fighting game , Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will feature characters from well-known shows from the network fighting in an all-out brawl against one another. The initial trailer revealed characters and faces from Spongebob Squarepants, Ren & Stimpy _ and _Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , among others, with more promised to be unveiled at a later date. Characters from two of Nickelodeon's most popular shows, Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra , were notably absent, but silhouettes from Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's cover art indicates the elemental masters may be making an appearance sooner than fans th

 
So far, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's box art is composed only of fighter silhouettes, not even showing those already announced in the roster. To the left of the shadowed cover art is an image that looks strikingly familiar to Korra. The silhouette holds a flexed arm out with a clenched fist, leading back to the shadow of a head that seems to mirror Korra's early series hairstyle with three distinct ponytails. Just below the silhouette that resembles Korra is the shadow of an outstretched human hand. With the Avatar universe top of mind, it closely resembles the hand and sleeve of Aang. Aang is frequently seen with his hand outstretched, a pose matching the shadow on the cover 

 
There's no denying Oh My Godheads is strange but there is entertainment to be found in all the bizarreness. If the image of a Penguin wearing a top hat and lugging around the disembodied head of Zeus rendered in a papier-mâché low polygon style isn't special it's certainly unique. With a very easy control scheme of attack, run, jump and dodge anyone can pick up and play Oh My Godheads too. It's approachable and easy as it is zany. The downside is the novelty wears out very quic

 
As previously mentioned, whether players choose to quick match or go into the campaign, most of their fights will be online against other players. Override 2 will default into bot matches if necessary, and that might be an inevitability. Even in its first week, Override 2 struggled to fill up anything but a one-on-one matchup, and the fights against AI are nothing to write home about. Many of the arenas are small enough that's it's easy to overwhelm a computer opponent with a series of spam attacks, and that complete lack of complexity combines with the endless dialogue on a static menu to make for a painfully boring endea

 
While many familiar Nick faces have been confirmed for the roster, the trailer hints there are still more that have not yet been announced. The one thing that can be said in Party Edition 's favor is that Oh My Godheads does feel more at home on Nintendo's handheld/console hybrid than any other system. The portable and casual skewing aspect of the Switch molds perfectly to Oh My Godheads ' simple party game vibe. Unfortunately a new system doesn't create a new game. Oh My Godheads: Party Edition is bizarre and amusing, especially with three friends, but it's still a rather shallow gaming experie
